Some toddlers this Christmas have most likely received some Fisher Price toys. You may remember a few months ago when there was national attention given to toys made with lead paint. Even though Fisher Price and other toy manufacturers stepped up to ensure child safety, I recommend looking into Fisher Price toy recalls just to be safe. Products by the thousands were removed from toy shelves, but it’s possible that during the chaos that some dangerous toys may have been left for purchase. And it’s not just Fisher Price toy recalls that you should be concerned about, but any toy that came from China, which it seems is a lot these days of trying to save a buck by outsourcing services to non-U.S. workers.
When it comes to bicycle safety, helmets for kids are a must in my book. Some may hem and haw claiming that they look stupid and don’t want to be seen by their friends, but wouldn’t they look more stupid if they crack their skull? But honestly, I don’t think they have anything to worry about since there are quite a few styles to choose from and sure to fit even the most finnicky of children. There’s the Disney Power Rangers Mystic Force Hardshell Helmet Value Pack (Red), and the My Little Pony Toddler Bicycle Helmet, Horn, Streamers, and Water Bottle Fun Pack, both are reasonably priced at Amazon. Helmets for kids or anyone for that matter should be replaced if they happen to be hit. The reason is that there may be a small fracture in the inner layers that may render the helmet not as protective when it is hit again.
