If Santa brought your child a video game for Christmas, why not accompany them with video game strategy guides? These guides can offer your child insight into playing the game more efficiently. Guides that I’ve purchased in the past are for Metroid and Zelda. Each came with layouts for the lands or rooms to help navigate me better. Even though you do get an idea of where things are while you’re playing, these maps can ease the situation entirely. Another benefit to these video game strategy guides, of course, is that they offer the gamer hints and tips on how to defeat certain challenges. This thing alone has helped me a lot because it’s nice to know help is just within hands reach.
I found some nice Lego Star Wars cheats for the Xbox. I’ve said before that I think that cheats for video games can help ease the frustration one might have when they can’t get past a certain level. Think of it as technical support.
When looking for Lego Star Wars cheats I also found some other neat things, like Lego Star Wars Easter Eggs involving a room across the hall of Jango Fett’s room.
And one revealing secret has to do with breaking stools in Dexter’s Diner that normally can’t be broken. Basically, if you can flip over these stools, you can break them with only your lightsaber to get their studs.
I was browsing Amazon today and found some really cool looking Halo 3 toys. The detail on these things is simply amazing. Gone are the days of when I was growing up with toys whose faces were painted just a bit off target.
The Halo 3: Master Chief Kubricks 4-Pack is made up of four action figures that look similar to Lego-styled figures. Then there’s the Halo 2 Series 3 Figure: Ghost with Brute which is a flying vehicle for complete with twin plasma cannons.
I don’t condone violence, especially violent video games. But if your young boy is nagging you for the video game, perhaps a compromise can be made by giving him one or two of the Halo 3 toys for Christmas this year.
If you’ve always played with a Gamecube game controller that is corded, then you haven’t lived until you’ve played with a Gamecube wireless controller. Such freedom this thing offers. Even though the cords do provide some distance, it doesn’t compare to not having a cord at all.
The Gamecube wireless controller allow me and my kids to sit comfortably on our couch and play games. We can’t do that with a corded controller with the way our room is furnished. Plus, another advantage is that you can move more freely too. We tend to get involved in our games, so it’s nice not to have to worry about pulled the console off the shelf by accident when we get a little excited.
And when you buy them two at a time, you can save a little cash for other gifts this Christmas.
When parents buy used video games, they need to be aware of some things. First, they need to be aware of the ratings used for games. For the young game player, I recommend games with the “E” rating. This stands for “everyone”. If you see one rated “T”, that means it’s for teens, and that means it’s not going to be appropriate for younger players. Second, you need to be careful where you buy used video games. I’ve had success with buying video games on ebay. But even then you need to pay attention to the rating of the seller, too. Are they respected? Do they have any negative comments from previous transactions? All in all, just do some comparison shopping and ask the clerks at the game stores and you should be fine.
